Linux hosting
Shared hosting puts your site on a Linux server that it shares with other accounts, which is what keeps the price low. Every plan is managed from cPanel and includes one-click WordPress installs, a website builder and unmetered bandwidth. Start on the smallest plan and move up, or across to a VPS, whenever your site needs more room.

What you get
Every shared account is managed from cPanel, so files, databases, email and DNS are all in one familiar place.
Softaculous installs WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and hundreds of other applications in a click, with no manual setup.
Classic, Standard and Premium include a website builder, so you can put a site together without writing code or hiring a developer. Personal does not include one.
Moving an existing site to us is free: our team copies it across and checks that it works before you switch over.
Bandwidth is unmetered on all four plans, so a busy month does not turn into a surprise bill.
Upgrade to a bigger shared plan, or to reseller or VPS hosting, without rebuilding your site from scratch.
Room to grow
Start where you are and upgrade from the same client area when traffic grows.
Questions
Shared hosting keeps a number of hosting accounts on one server, where they share its disk space, memory and processing power. Splitting the cost of that server is what makes it a very affordable way to put a website online.
It suits small business sites, blogs, portfolios and forums: anything with modest traffic where you would rather not run a server yourself. If the site outgrows it, you can move up to VPS or dedicated hosting.
Through cPanel, which handles files, email accounts, databases, DNS and backups. It includes Softaculous for one-click installs of WordPress, Joomla and Drupal.
Shared accounts do not include root access, so you cannot install software at the server level or change the server configuration. If you need that, choose a VPS instead.
Choose Linux if your site runs on PHP and MySQL, which covers WordPress and most other content management systems. Choose Windows if it needs ASP.NET, MS Access or SQL Server.
