Prices
Every extension, and what it really costs
Three numbers for each extension: what the first year costs, what it costs to move the name here from another registrar, and what it costs to keep it. All prices are per year in US dollars.
| Extension | Registerper year | Transferper year | Renewper year |
|---|---|---|---|
| .com | $18.78 | $16.71 | $20.61 |
| .net | $23.56 | $17.88 | $28.21 |
| .org | $34.25 | $31.34 | $36.56 |
| .co | $53.32 | $40.95 | $53.32 |
| .io | $112.06 | $107.93 | $112.06 |
| .me | $34.86 | $34.86 | $35.24 |
| .info | $29.76 | $29.76 | $29.76 |
| .tv | $54.58 | $54.58 | $54.58 |
| .biz | $24.35 | $24.35 | $24.83 |
| .us | $17.02 | $16.19 | $17.02 |
| .uk | $16.08 | $12.08 | $16.08 |
| .ca | $24.64 | $23.01 | $24.64 |
The first year and the renewal are not always the same number. .com, .net, .org, .me and .biz renew above their registration price, so the difference is on the table before you buy rather than in an invoice a year later. Renewals are paid in the client area, where every domain shows its own expiry date.
Not sure whether a name is still free? Search it below — the check runs in the client area and comes back with the extensions that are available.
What you get
A domain, managed where everything else is
Search, register and manage the name from the same client area as your hosting: one login, one set of invoices, one support queue.
Register in a few clicks
Search for the name you want and the result goes straight into the Hostinium billing cart, where you complete the registration.
Twelve extensions to choose from
Register .com, .net, .org, .co, .io, .me, .info, .tv, .biz, .us, .uk and .ca, each with its registration, renewal and transfer price listed up front.
Move a domain you already own
Transfer an existing domain into your Hostinium account and manage it alongside your hosting. Transfer prices are listed per extension.
Privacy
Keep your details out of the public record
Every domain registration carries contact details for the person who owns it, and by default those details are published. Registering a business domain with your home address means your home address is what a stranger reads.
Privacy protection replaces the address, phone number and email in that public record with the privacy service's own. You remain the owner of the name and we still hold your real details for the registry and for billing; what changes is what a stranger, a scraper or a cold-call list can read.
It costs $9.95 a year. Send us the domain name and we will add it to your account.

Getting started
How registration works
From an idea for a name to a domain that points at your site.
Search the name
Type the name into the search box. The Hostinium client area checks it against the extensions we sell and shows which are free and what each one costs.Pick the extension
Take .com if it is free — it is the extension most people type from memory. Register the others you want to hold at the same time, or add them later.Complete the order
Sign in or create a client account and pay for the first year. Registration is charged per year, at the price listed for that extension.Point it at your hosting
Set the nameservers or DNS records from the client area so the name reaches your site and email. Hosting with us too? Message us and we will set the records with you.
Already own the name
Move a domain you registered somewhere else
Bring an existing name into your Hostinium account and manage it next to your hosting. Transfer prices start at $12.08 and are listed per extension above.
You keep the name and everything on it; what changes is who manages and bills the registration. To start you need the domain unlocked at your current registrar and its authorization code. The transfer page covers both, and what happens to your site and your email while the handover runs.
Questions
Domain questions
What people ask before they register a name.
Which domain extensions can I register with Hostinium?
Twelve extensions are listed with published prices: .com, .net, .org, .co, .io, .me, .info, .tv, .biz, .us, .uk and .ca. Ask us if you need an extension that is not on the list.
Is the renewal price the same as the registration price?
Not always. Most extensions renew at the price they register for, but .com, .net, .org, .me and .biz renew slightly higher. Every extension's registration, renewal and transfer price is listed side by side so you can see the difference before you buy.
Can I transfer a domain I registered somewhere else?
Yes. Start the transfer from the domain transfer page in the Hostinium billing area and we handle the technical steps. Each extension has its own transfer price, listed alongside the registration and renewal prices.
Can I keep my personal details off the public WHOIS record?
Yes. Domain privacy protection costs $9.95 a year and replaces your personal contact details in the public WHOIS record.
Not sure which name to take?
Describe the business and the assistant suggests names and extensions worth trying; the search on this page shows which of them are free. A person on WhatsApp can look with you.
